Spine

Our faculty are committed to educating students, residents and fellows in the treatment of all facets of spinal disease and injury.

The Spine Fellowship, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, provides a comprehensive experience in adult and pediatric spine disorders through Feinberg’s partnerships with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

The goal of our residency and fellowship programs is to train well-rounded academic spine surgeons, placing emphasis on clinical experience and research. The clinical experience includes all aspects of both non-operative and operative treatment of a wide variety of spine conditions. 

Many of the faculty members are involved in the major spine national organizations and welcome and encourage mentoring residents and fellows in career development and networking.

The physicians at Northwestern Memorial Hospital treat various spinal conditions, including traumatic injuries, deformities, work-related spine problems and degenerative conditions. The increasing prevalence of lower back injuries make access to state-of-the-art facilities for treatment of spinal conditions essential, and the Spine Center is just one of the resources available to meet this need.

Our Spine Center is designed to be both cost-effective and readily accessible. Orthopaedic physicians work in partnership with colleagues in internal medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, psychiatry, rheumatology, physical therapy and neurology to optimize expertise, deliver comprehensive care and ensure speedy rehabilitation and recovery.
